Stage 1 :
The adult female butterfly lays
her eggs on the underside of a
leaf to protect them from
predators. -
Stage 2 :
From each egg emerges a
caterpillar which begins to
feed on the vegetation it
finds around. -
Stage 3 :
The grown caterpillar sticks
itself to the underside of a leaf
and covers itself in a hard
coating. -
Stage 4 :
The hard coating begins to
crack and eventually a newly
formed butterfly emerges
into the world. -
Stage 5 :
The adult butterfly then starts
the whole life cycle process
off again by beginning to find
a mate.
