Spiders are carnivores and they eat insects (such as ants, bees, cicadas, butterflies and moths) and small
animals like lizards and birds (for larger sized spiders). Spiders are eaten by other carnivores such as
spider wasps, meerkats, lizards, birds and even other spiders.
Frogs are carnivores and they eat insects (such as crickets, grasshoppers and dragonflies), worms and even
mice (for bigger sized frogs). Frogs are preyed upon by other carnivores such as snakes, birds (such as
herons and hawks), minks, raccoons and bigger frogs such as bullfrogs.
Birds eat worms, caterpillars, frogs, lizards and snakes. Birds are preyed upon by other carnivores such as
foxes, raccoons, weasels, opossums and birds of prey (such as falcons, hawks and eagles).
Lobsters will eat fish, crabs, clams, mussels and sea urchins. Lobsters are preyed upon by other carnivores
such as cod, grouper, halibut, eels and even other, bigger lobsters.
Fish eat smaller fish, aquatic plants, plankton, crustaceans (like crabs, shrimps and krill) and mollusks
(such as octopus, clams, sea slugs and snails). Fish are consumed by other animals such as bigger fish
(like sharks, rays and dolphins), seals, squids, birds (like herons and seagulls) and jellyfish.
Grasshoppers are herbivores and they eat grass, leaves, stems, flowers and buds. Grasshoppers are eaten
by other carnivores such as lizards, other insects like mantis, birds, spiders and frogs.
Rabbits are herbivores and they eat grass, hay, leaves, vegetables and seeds. Rabbits are preyed upon by
carnivores such as foxes, wolves, eagles, bears and weasels.
Octopuses are carnivores and they eat crabs, whelks, clams, small fish, lobsters and shrimps. Octopuses
are eaten upon by other carnivores such as sharks, dolphins, eels (like moray eels), seals and sea lions.
Snakes are carnivores and they eat other animals such as insects, amphibians (like frogs and toads), fish,
mammals (rodents like rats, mice and squirrels) and birds (like chickens and pigeons). Snakes are preyed
upon by other carnivores such as hedgehogs, mongoose, honey badgers, birds (like owls, hawks, falcons
and eagles) and other snakes (like king cobras).
Jellyfish feed on plankton (such as phytoplankton and zooplankton), fish eggs, copepods, krill, shrimp and
small fish. Jellyfish are consumed by other animals such as bigger fish (like tuna, salmon and ocean sunfish),
sea turtles (such as leatherback turtles) and other jellyfish. For jellyfish that stays close to the bottom of
the ocean, they may be eaten by crustaceans (such as crabs and lobsters) and even starfish.
