Solar System [information over pictures] [2]
The Earth is one of eight planets in our Solar System.
It is called a Solar System because a sun is at its centre.
The other seven planets in our Solar System are Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune.
You can remember the order of planets out from our Sun with a mnemonic [a silly sentence].

This picture is to show the size of our Sun compared to all of the other planets.

It also shows the position of the asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter.
