Here is a picture of where the different parts of the digestive system are situated in the body.
The following pictures give you more information about each part.
This is the stomach.

When your stomach receives food it produces acids and enzymes that help break down the food.
This is the small intestine.

The small intestine soaks up nutrients and water from food so they can be used by the body.
This is the gallbladder.

A chemical called bile is stored in the gallbladder until you eat and start to digest your food.
This is the pancreas.

Your pancreas creates natural juices called enzymes to help break down the foods you eat.
